Piano Show - Senior Entertainment, Church Groups, Community Functions

     "The Great American Piano Show"  is a 75 minute interactive audience participation musical tribute created by Joe of some popular songs from the 1890's through the 1970's.  Included are stories plus trivia which explains how people have connected to music over the decades which became part of their lives.  Joe has performed this many times for various Church and Social Groups, plus in Senior communities throughout the Lehigh Valley area with an overwhelming positive response from the audience.  The show highlights the most popular music from across the generations and how many of these songs have still survived today!
 
Some of the selections featured are from "The Great American Songbook", which is a hypothetical construct that seeks to represent the best American songs of the 20th century principally from Broadway theatre, musical theatre, and Hollywood musical film from the 1920s to 1960, including dozens of easily recognized classics of enduring popularity.  The Great American Songbook became a vital part of the repertoire of many musicians but unfortunately is becoming lost with today’s generation.  Over the last several decades, there has been a revival of the Songbook by contemporary artists which will hopefully keep this great music alive.
